Silver jewelry

These jewels darken due to oxidation, when exposed to air. The pH of our skin and everyday wear can also cause them to lose their shine. Take care of them like this:

  1. Store them in a cool, dry place, preferably individually, in their own pouch.

  2. Put them on a while after applying creams or perfumes.

  3. Avoid wearing them while showering, swimming, or sleeping.

  4. Clean them by soaking in a bowl of very hot water with a spoonful of salt and small pieces of aluminum foil. Let them sit for five minutes, then rinse and dry completely. Repeat or leave longer in the solution if needed.

Gold-plated jewelry

Proper care is key to preserving the beauty and longevity of gold plating. Follow these tips:

  1. Avoid contact with chemicals, such as cleaning products or cosmetics. Perfume counts too — wear your jewelry a while after applying it.

  2. Store each piece separately in soft pouches, away from humidity and light.

  3. Protect them from scratches or impacts by removing them before cleaning or doing sports.

  4. Prevent contact with liquids in general by removing them before showering or swimming.

  5. Keep them clean with a soft, dry cloth. Your skin’s natural pH can affect the durability of the plating.

  6. If you notice wear, contact us about a possible re-plating.

How to organize your jewelry

  1. Ideally, store them in a jewelry box with special compartments for each type of piece.

  2. Close necklace and bracelet clasps to prevent tangles and knots.

  3. Keep rings separated, without touching, to avoid damage. Take extra care with pearl pieces, as pearls are more delicate than metals or stones.

  4. Store each earring with its backing to avoid losing one.
